The second “Superman” in the history of the Orlando Magic is headed to the franchise’s Hall of Fame.
He never brought the organization a Larry O’Brien trophy, yet Dwight Howard meant a lot to the Magic.

The Atlanta (Ga.) was selected as the No. 1 overall pick of the 2004 NBA Draft from Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy.
Howard captured an NBA title with LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers in the bubble during the 2020 season; however, the imposing presence at center accomplished a lot in eight seasons in Orlando. He was a six-time All-Star, five-time All-NBA First Team selection, three-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year, four-time NBA All-Defensive First Team, four-time NBA leader for rebounds, and 2008 Slam Dunk Champion. Howard brought excitement to the Magic, and now he gets his due.

His honor happens Monday night as Orlando plays the Los Angeles Lakers at home.
