The Golden State Warriors secured a 120-97 win over the Orlando Magic on Monday, but veteran Draymond Green left the game early after a heated argument with head coach Steve Kerr.

Video of the incident quickly went viral, which showed Green and Kerr in a shouting match before Green left the bench and headed to the locker room. He returned to the bench later, but did not play in the remainder of the game.

Afterwards, Kerr addressed the incident.

“We got into it, obviously… We had it out a little bit, and he made his decision to go back to the locker room to cool off,” Kerr said. “That’s all I’m gonna say about it, everything is private. I’ve got nothing further to add.”

Green made a similar statement, explaining that he made the decision to cool off in the locker room.

“Tempers spilled over and I just thought it was best that I get out of there,” Green told ESPN’s Anthony Slater. “I don’t think that was a situation where it was gonna get better. So, it was just best to remove myself. That’s it.”

While Green is known for being confrontational, his relationship with Kerr has never really been in question. The Warriors won the game regardless, moving to 15-15 on the season.
