Mike Breen, Richard Jefferson, and Doris Burke are set to call the NBA Finals for ESPN. According to the latest news, this may be Burke’s last time.

ESPN is considering a broadcast shakeup for their NBA coverage. This is according to The Athletic’s Andrew Marchand. The biggest suggested change is Burke’s spot on the team.

“Burke’s spot is not guaranteed for next season …” Marchand wrote. “While Breen, the Basketball Hall of Famer under a long-term deal, is not going anywhere, ESPN will evaluate its entire roster.

“ESPN executives will debate what is next. With one discussion likely centering around if they feel Burke is better on a two-person team as opposed to the three-person team,” Marchand said.

Many fans have complained about Burke’s broadcast style. The same can be said about Jefferson.

Most loved the old trio of Breen, Jeff Van Gundy, and Mark Jackson. Once the latter two were let go, it upset many fans.

If ESPN does make some changes, it will be interesting to see who they pair next to Breen for the 2025-26 NBA season.
