Duke Basketball star Cooper Flagg is the consensus No. 1 pick in the upcoming 2025 NBA Draft. After a heartbreaking defeat in the Final Four of the NCAA National Tournament, all eyes turned to Flagg with expectations that he would swiftly declare for the draft.

But on a recent SportsCenter appearance, he said it could take a while for him to make a decision.

“I think kind of what you said, just evaluating, you know, reflecting,” Flagg said. “It was an incredible year. I met a lot of incredible people. Made a ton of great relationships that I’m going to have for the rest of my life, and I think now it’s time for me to reflect. You know, take a couple days; take a week; take a month. Whatever it is for me. Talk to my parents, talk to the coaches and just really decide what’s best for me.”

If Flagg decided to return to Duke for another season, he would be teaming up with the incoming Cameron and Cayden Boozer, two of the best incoming freshmen in the country.

Flagg is the best college basketball player in the nation and he averaged 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.4 blocks per game this season.

If Flagg decides to declare for the draft, the Charlotte Hornets, Washington Wizards and Utah Jazz are the teams with the highest odds of landing the coveted top pick.
