The 6-foot-10, 256-pound center is slated to be re-evaluated in three to four weeks. According to Michael Scotto, a senior NBA insider for Hoops Hype, the Hawks are processing Capela’s free agency future after benching him for Onyeka Okongwu. Since the move, Atlanta has witnessed Okongwu average double figures in points (13.1) and grab 8.7 rebounds and a block per game.
Capela is talented, but the Hawks see this letting go of a player to develop a better one at the same position.
