CJ McCollum will be back in Atlanta next season as he has signed a one-year $21 million deal with the Hawks according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.

McCollum arrived partway through the 2025-26 season as he was involved in the Trae Young trade with the Washington Wizards. From there, McCollum proved to be a steadying force in the backcourt and aided the team to the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference before falling to the New York Knicks in the first round of the NBA Playoffs.

The 34-year-old averaged 18.7 points on 45.6% shooting and 35.7% from three point range. He will now be entering his 14th season in the NBA as the Hawks look to continue to grow around its nucleus of talent.
