The Cincinnate Bengals announced on Monday that head coach Zac Taylor will remain with the team, a stark contrast to what teams around the league have done so far.
Director of player personnel Duke Tobins will also be returning.

The Bengals finished with a record of 6-11 this season, thanks in part to quarterback Joe Burrow missing nine games due to turf toe.
“Our focus is on building a team that can consistently compete at the highest level, with the goal of winning championships. After thoughtful consideration, I am confident that Duke Tobin and Zac Taylor are the right leaders to guide us forward,” Bengals owner Mike Brown said in a statement. “They have proven they can build and lead teams that compete for championships. We trust their plans and expect to return to our desired level of success.”
With a 52-63-1 record through seven seasons, Taylor is the third-longest tenured head coach in Bengals history, behind Marvin Lewis and Sam Wyche.
After two straight playoff appearances in 2021-22, Cincinnati has failed to return to the postseason. Time will tell if Taylor can help them do so next season.
