The Charlotte Hornets had a problematic 2023-24 season. Factors such as bad injury luck, minimal depth and off-court issues caused the Hornets to finish with a 21-61 record and end the season at 13th place in the Eastern conference.
The 2021-22 season provided a bit more hope for the future of the Queen City. They finished the campaign with one of the leagues most effective offenses. They ended that season near the top of the league in three-point shooting and finished with a record of 43-39 under head coach James Borrego.

The 2022-23 season saw a major decline in the team’s production, as they finished with a record of 27-55. These troubles only continued to plague Charlotte all the way through last season.

Fortunately, the Hornets have added more depth to the roster as well as a new head coach, Charles Lee. Now that more experienced players such as Grant Williams and Tre Mann are in the locker room, it seems probable that the Hornets’ offense will return to its previous level of exceptional pace and outside shooting.
A deeper bench, more player development and better injury luck are all vital for the Hornets to try to make a playoff run this season. Even if some of their off-court issues are a factor, this bolstered Hornets roster is all but guaranteed to see at least some sort of improvement.
