The Memphis Grizzlies have been one of the most intriguing teams in the league this season. After firing head coach Taylor Jenkins near the end of March, Grizzlies star Ja Morant was caught up in another controversy, this time for making gun gestures on the court even after receiving a warning from the league.
The NBA on TNT crew, specifically Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith, think Morant’s antics are immature.

“He has a history that maybe he shouldn’t be doing that. Leave the celebrations where people might die alone,” Smith said.
Barkley added to the criticism.
“I know one person who’s happy right now—Taylor Jenkins doesn’t have to deal with this crap anymore. He’s going to get another job he deserves, without having to manage this immature stuff,” Chuck added.

After Morant was fined $75,000 in recent weeks for repeating his gun celebrations, he’s now switched to a grenade toss celebration. It’s unclear if the NBA plans to take any further action or enact any further punishment for Morant.
Barkley and Smith are both NBA veterans that played in the 80’s and 90’s, with Barkley carving out a solid hall-of-fame career.
