Carmelo Anthony had an incredible basketball career. He was a scoring machine, tallying 28,289 total career points.

Anthony sadly never won an NBA championship. He did, however, win three Olympic gold medals. It is because of this, and his NBA career, that Anthony is being inducted twice into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.

Anthony will be inducted for his NBA career and as a member of the 2008 Team USA “Redeem Team.” Anthony spoke about how he is satisfied with his career.

“I’m satisfied,” Anthony said. “It was worth it. I’m satisfied. I’m here. When you are an athlete and you’re competing, your coaches tell you never to be satisfied, so you have that mentality, and until you can take yourself out of that situation and realize, ‘I’m good on basketball and I’m satisfied.

“This is the gates and this is the doors and there’s nothing that anyone can take away from me on that.”

Anthony should be satisfied with his career. He’s one of the greatest players to ever step foot on a basketball court. Not too many people can say that.
