LeBron James famously played in the Drew League in 2011 and 2022. This includes his performance of 42 points, 16 rebounds, and four steals in 2022. Now, there’s a rumor going around that LeBron’s son, Bronny James, may make an appearance in this year’s Drew League.

This rumor came about from the commissioner of the Drew League, Dino Smiley, who mentioned the possibility of Bronny playing.

“I’ve heard Bronny [James], but nothing clear on that yet. I heard Bronny might play. But nothing concrete,” Smiley said. “Earlier in the summer, there was talk about Dalton Knecht and Cam Christie playing.

“I think it would be great,” Smiley continued. “It would be interesting to see how he matches up with these guys. It would be interesting to see. Since his dad played a couple of times down here, who knows, maybe he’ll pop up there with him this weekend.”

Bronny showcased growth in the NBA Summer League. He averaged 14.3 points, 3.8 assists, 2.5 rebounds, and 0.8 steals in 24.3 minutes per game. Bronny also shot 47.6%, including 35.3% from three.

If Bronny plays in the Drew League, it will be another chance for him to grow his game.
