The Green Bay Packers have traded wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for a sixth-round pick. Wicks was a 2023 fifth-round pick by the Packers.
Wicks had 30 catches for 332 yards and two touchdowns last season. He has 108 catches for 1,328 yards and 11 touchdowns in his career with the Packers.
Wicks also signed a one-year extension with the Eagles worth $12.5 million. He signed a four-year $4.1 million contract with the Packers in 2023.
With the trade, speculation now grows with Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown. There have been rumors all season about whether or not Brown will remain with the franchise or if they will trade him away. Brown had expressed frustration last season in his role with the offense.
The Eagles still have a loaded receiver room regardless if Brown leaves. With names like Devonta Smith, Marquise Brown, and Elijah Moore, Wicks should find a role with his new offense.
