The Brandon Aiyuk era will be coming to an end at some point in San Francisco, but as of this moment he is still on the books of the franchise.

Aiyuk has been tossing insults toward the franchise for some time now with his latest round of disparagement coming on Tuesday on social media. The former Arizona State wide receiver took a shot at the front office for giving him his lofty extension.

“And another thing. You want to know why they really mad though,” Aiyuk said. “They mad ’cause they stupid. They dumb. They mad that they paid me $50 million in eight months and then voided my guarantees for 2027. And I’m about to be on a new team in 2027. They mad at themselves for real. They acting like they mad at me, but they stupid ass mad at themselves.”

The 28-year-old has not taken the field since Week 7 of the 2024 season where he suffered a torn ACL. He would later sign a four-year $120 million extension that offseason after holding out of training camp.

Since then Aiyuk has continued to hold out and disassociate himself from team activities which resulted in the franchise voiding his guarantees for the 2027 season.

General manager John Lynch has also shared this offseason that it was “safe to say” Aiyuk would not return to the 49ers.
