Barcelona lifted a temporary ban on the 'Gol 1957' supporters' group ahead of its UEFA Champions League home match against Aston Villa on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.

The club had banned the group’s operation of the 'animation' stand for Saturday’s La Liga match against Alavés. That sanction followed an incident during the October 25 Clásico at Camp Nou, when a member of Gol 1957 struck Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga with a flag.

Barcelona executives met with representatives of the group on Monday and announced the stand would reopen for the Aston Villa match. The club said spokespersons for the group committed to "behave in a civic and respectful fashion in the stands."

FC Barcelona stated it values that commitment and acknowledged the group’s role in supporting the team. The club added it will monitor compliance closely. It warned that prior misconduct has led to repeated financial penalties and could trigger stadium closure under UEFA or Spanish federation regulations.

The club expressed confidence that the situation will not recur, calling the outcome beneficial for members, fans and the club itself.
