Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark is one of the best players in the league and is easily the most popular among fans. Her WNBA career has been ravaged by injury issues and Fever fans were hit with more bad news on Wednesday.

Less than two hours before Indiana’s matchup against the Portland Fire, Clark was ruled out for the game with a back injury.

Reports emerged claiming that it was simply load management, but head coach Stephanie White said Clark missed Tuesday’s practice with stiffness in her back.

Her statement was a little contradictory, saying that Clark is healthy before following it up by saying she has a back issue.

Fans and the WNBA world as a whole were not pleased with the situation, confused about why this back issue had gone previously unreported.

While it’s currently unclear what type of back issue Clark has or how long she will be out, but the WNBA world clearly isn’t happy with how the team is handling the situation.
