The Las Vegas Raiders traded star defensive end Maxx Crosby to the Baltimore Ravens for a 2026 and 2027 first-round pick.
Since being drafted in 2019, Crosby has been on a tear. He has 360 pressures, 29 more than second-place holder Myles Garrett. He also has 69.5 sacks and 133 tackles for a loss. Crosby also led the league in tackles for a loss in 2022 and 2023.
For the Ravens, it’s the offseason push the fans have finally been looking for. Jesse Minter was hired as the new head coach this offseason and previously served as the Chargers’ defensive coordinator. Now that he has Crosby, he may be able to turn around a Ravens D-line that finished with 28 sacks last season, third-to-last in the league.
On the other hand, it’s massive news for the Raiders. It is almost certain that the team is going to draft Fernando Mendoza with the No. 1 overall pick, and the first two first-round of picks now help the team add more talent for the future. Crosby has also expressed frustration in recent months about the Raiders direction.
