Auburn is officially firing head coach Hugh Freeze in his third season after a 1-5 start in conference play, per Pete Thamel.
The move comes just one day after the Tigers took a 10-3 loss to Kentucky and fell to 4-5 overall on the season.

Defensive coordinator DJ Durkin will reportedly be the team’s interim head coach until a new one is chosen. Auburn will now have to pay Freeze’s buyout, which is around $15.4 million.
