The Louisville Cardinals pulled of an impressive 24-21 upset over the Miami Hurricanes on Friday. After scoring on the first two drives of the game to grab a 14-0 lead, the Cardinals played strong defense for the rest of the match to hold off Miami’s comeback attempt. It’s the first time in program history that Louisville has beaten an AP top-2 ranked opponent while unranked.

The Hurricanes were 5-0 headed into Friday’s matchup and looked like the heavy favorites. Although they nearly pulled off the comeback, Louisville’s balanced effort was just too much to overcome.
