Luka Doncic is in the prime of his basketball career. He’s currently one of the top players in the NBA and he’s on the cusp of being the number one player in the league.

Despite all of his success in the NBA, Doncic’s heart still resides overseas, where he got his start, and that’s with Real Madrid. Doncic started his career in basketball with the youth academy of Real Madrid, and that loyalty has never left him.

The Lakers star recently revealed his plans of retiring with Real Madrid, not an NBA team.

When asked if he’d want to retire with Real Madrid, Doncic responded by saying, “For sure. They raised me.”

Don’t panic Lakers fans. Doncic isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Once he feels his NBA career is over, we will likely see him wearing a Real Madrid jersey one last time before completely walking away from the game of basketball.
