The Nuggets have been struggling as of late, losing four consecutive games. Still, to fire Malone at this point in the season doesn’t make a lot of sense. Malone has a record of 471-327 in 10 seasons as the Nuggets coach, making him the winningest coach in franchise history.

Lead assistant coach David Adelman is expected to serve as the team’s interim coach for the remainder of the season. Maybe this change will help the Nuggets gain new life and have a strong showing in the postseason.
