The Charlotte Hornets and the Atlanta Hawks battled it out until the final seconds in Atlanta last night. The Hornets would squeak out a 115-114 win over the Hawks after Tre Mann blocked Trent Forest with two-seconds left in the fourth quarter.
The contest was close for the first half as the Hornets were only down six points going into the third quarter.

However, the Hawks would outscore the Hornets 31-22 in the third quarter and would outshoot them by 14 percent from the field.
Even though the Hornets would be down 15 points going into the fourth quarter, they would not go down without a fight. The Hornets would rally, and have a 30-15 run led by Mann and Grant Williams to bring the Hornets within one point, late in the fourth quarter.
Mann and Williams would combine for 18 points and cause seven turnovers in the second half.
After a gritty transition layup from Miles Bridges and a clutch block from Mann, the Hornets would pull off one of the best comebacks of the season.
The scrappy play of Mann and Williams were huge as well as Brandon Miller’s 27 points to lead all scorers on the night.

For the Hawks, their inconsistent shooting and shaky defense contributed to their late-game collapse.
Bogdan Bogdanovic and Vit Krejci both added 19 points, respectively, but their efforts were not enough to take down the Hornets.
Coach Steve Clifford spoke about Mann and his clutch block and impact he had on the Hornets last night.
“Tonight was [Tre Mann’s] best game on defense this season.”
The Hornets will next face off against the Boston Celtics, Friday, April 12 starting at 7:30.
