The entire sports world has been buzzing ever since it was announced that the Buss family was selling the Los Angeles Lakers. Ever since Jerry Buss bought the Lakers in 1979, the team has become the biggest franchise in the NBA.

The Lakers were sold to businessman Mark Walter for approximately $10 billion. It’s been reported that the Buss family will keep a minority share of the team, that is said to be a little over 15%, for some time.

As for Walter, he already has ownership in a few sports teams. This includes the Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Sparks, Premier League club Chelsea, and the Professional Women’s Hockey League.

Walter also owns a few auto racing teams through TWG Motorsports. He is currently the CEO and chairman of diversified holding company TWG Global.
