The Minnesota Timberwolves have defeated the shorthanded Golden State Warriors 121-110, winning the series 4-1. They have advanced to the Western Conference Finals and will play the winner of the Oklahoma City Thunder and Denver Nuggets series.

The game wasn’t particularly close, as the Timberwolves always seemed to have a run in them whenever the Warriors got close. This includes a 9-0 run to end the first half.

The Timberwolves led by as much as 25 points at one point, while the Warriors’ biggest lead was just one point at the 11:10 mark of the first quarter.

Minnesota was led by Julius Randle’s 29 points, while Anthony Edwards added 22. The Warriors were not the same team without Stephen Curry and will hope for a healthy season next year to make another run.

For now, the Timberwolves are the team that has advanced to the Western Conference Finals and they deserve all the credit.
