The first Game 7 of the 2025 NBA playoffs started out looking like it would be a close battle. The Los Angeles Clippers struck first, winning the first quarter 26-21.
The Nuggets controlled the second quarter, scoring 37 points to open a 58-47 halftime lead. Things would get worse for the Clippers, as the Nuggets went on a quick 15-0 run at the beginning of the third quarter.

The Nuggets kept rolling, scoring 35 more points in the third, essentially ending the Clippers’ season for good. Denver won Game 7 120-101 behind six players scoring in double figures.
The Nuggets will now face the top-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder in the second round. Denver certainly has an uphill battle vs. the Thunder, but they may have the real MVP, and Nikola Jokic could be the difference.
