Zach LaVine scored 32 points in a 131-87 blowout win against the Brooklyn Nets yesterday in the United Center. In addition to his 32 points, LaVine delivered two assists and grabbed six rebounds in 28 minutes. Although my colleague, Titan Frey, has reported in two pieces, “Breaking: Lonzo Ball ruled out for the remainder of the 2022-2023 season” and “Breaking: Lonzo Ball is still not able to run or cut,” horrible news about Lonzo Ball, such a dominating win can propel the Chicago Bulls forward as they strive to secure solid footing in the NBA Eastern Conference playoff race. One hopes this win eases the pain of the news about Lonzo Ball.

Even though Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving are no longer with the Nets, the team still has enough talent not to be thrashed by the Bulls or any other team. Therefore, the Bulls deserve significant credit for their impressive win yesterday.

Zach LaVine scored 32 points in blowout win against the Nets

Needing only 28 minutes, Zach LaVine scored 32 points. Imagine how many points he could have produced if he had played more minutes. However, more minutes from LaVine were not needed yesterday. Billy Donovan recognizes that he must rest LaVine when he can to protect his body. LaVine is crucial to the team’s success.

The Bulls will not make the playoffs without a healthy and productive Zach LaVine.

Chicago Bulls to face Washington Wizards

With the Washington Wizards coming to the United Center to battle the Bulls tomorrow, the Bulls would love to have LaVine give an equally brilliant performance to the one he delivered against the Nets yesterday.

After tomorrow’s home game, the Bulls have two road games, one against the Toronto Raptors and the other against the Detroit Pistons. Those two road games should prepare the Bulls for a  challenging contest against the Phoenix Suns in the United Center on March 3, 2023.
