San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama has entered concussion protocol and has been ruled out for the remainder of Tuesday’s Game 2 against the Portland Trail Blazers after suffering a scary head injury early in the second quarter.

As Wembanyama attempted to drive to the basket, he bumped knees with Jrue Holiday and lost his balance. He was unable to soften his fall and landed directly on his face, appearing to go unconscious momentarily.

After several moments, he left straight to the locker room before officially being ruled out.

Wembanyama left the game after 12 minutes of action in which he recorded five points, four rebounds and one assist. The Spurs and Trail Blazers are all tied up at 57 going into halftime.

James Parker contributed to this story.
