The No. 3 Michigan Wolverines went head to head with the No. 8 Michigan State Spartans on Sunday, with Yaxel Lendeborg leading the Wolverines to a 90-80 home victory to close out the regular season.

Lendeborg put up 19 points in the first half as the Wolverines held on to a one-point advantage at the break. The second half saw a late Michigan run that sealed the victory.
Ultimately, Lendeborg put up 27 points while shooting 8-of-12 from the floor and 5-of-6 from beyond the arc.
For the Spartans, Jaxon Kohler had 23 points and eight rebounds on 10-of-13 shooting while Jeremy Fears Jr. finished with 22 points and nine assists.
The Wolverines are now in positions to be a No. 1 seed heading into the Big Ten Tournament.
