The Toronto Blue Jays got off to a historic start in Game 5 of the World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday. Davis Schneider hit the very first pitch into the stands to give the Blue Jays a 1-0 lead. Blake Snell then threw a single strike before Vladimir Guerrero Jr. slammed a home run of his own.
The Blue Jays are now the first team in MLB history to start a World Series game with back-to-back home runs. Game 4 was dominated by Toronto, who tied the series with a 6-2 win. If the Blue Jays win on Wednesday, they’ll go back home for Game 6 with a 3-2 advantage.
