In a battle of one of the biggest rivalries in all of sports, the No. 14 UNC Tar Heels took down the No. 4 Duke Blue Devils 71-68 on Saturday, thanks to a spectacular game-winning three by Seth Trimble.
UNC went on a blistering 9-0 scoring run to close the second half, capped off by the three-point bomb from Trimble that gave the Tar Heels their first lead of the entire matchup.
Freshman Caleb Wilson was huge for UNC, putting up 23 points and four rebounds.
For Duke, freshman Cameron Boozer had 24 points and 11 rebounds.
Saturday’s win marked UNC’s first win over Duke in exactly 700 days.
