George Kittle

WATCH: George Kittle carted off field after scary leg injury

San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle sustained a concerning lower right leg injury in the first half of Sunday’s AFC Wild Card matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.

As Eagles safety Marcus Epps attempted to tackle Kittle, the tight end planted his right leg behind him, causing a visible ripple in his leg and raising concerns about a potential Achilles injury.

After going down in pain, Kittle was unable to put weight on that leg and was carted off the field.

While it’s too early to expect any official news or diagnosis, the unfortunate injury is certainly scary and doesn’t paint a pretty picture for the 49ers.
