Louisville Cardinals freshman Mikel Brown Jr. had a standout performance against the Kentucky Wildcats on Tuesday. The No. 12 Cardinals entered the matchup as a slight underdog against the No. 9 Wildcats, but played with confidence.
Brown, one of the top point guards in the 2026 NBA draft class, exploded for 29 points and five assists on 8-of-16 shooting.

Through the first three games of the season, Brown is averaging 19.3 points and 6.7 assists per game on 54% shooting from the floor.
The Cardinals are now 3-0 on the season, thanks in part to Brown’s high-level play. They will look to improve to 4-0 as they host Ohio on Saturday.
