The Minnesota Twins’ balanced hitting allowed them to secure a 7-4 win over the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday.

While the Twins entered the matchup at 7-7, the Blue Jays came in at 6-7 on the year.
Toronto got off to a strong start thanks to a two-run home run by Daulton Varsho in the opening inning. After Toronto played solid defense in the second inning, Minnesota took over in the third.
It started off with a solo home run from Brooks Lee. Then two quick singles and two walks sent a an extra runner home and loaded the bases.
That’s when Josh Bell hit a two-run single to take a 4-2 lead shortly before Trevor Larnach hit a 398′ three-run home run to extend the advantage to 7-2.
For the next six innings, both teams had no problem getting contact on the ball, but solid fielding from both squads took over.
Down by five in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Blue Jays momentatrily found life.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. got on base with a single before Jesus Sanchez hit a thrilling 406′ home run to cut the deficit to three.
Toronto got two hits afterwards, but all three resulted in outs and the Twins held on for the win.
