Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride set a new NFL record in receptions in a season by a tight end, breaking the previous record held by Zach Ertz back in 2018.

Despite the 37-14 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, McBride woud finish with 10 catches for 76 yards and a touchdown. McBride now currently sits at 119 catches on the season with one game left to go.

McBride has been a bright spot on a Cardinals teams that has struggled heavily this season. The team currently sits at 3-13 and has lost eight games in a row. Star quarterback Kyler Murray was placed on season-ending injured reserve after suffering a foot injury in a week 5 loss to the Tennessee Titans.

Despite the chaos, McBride has stayed consistent this season. He has four games with 10-plus receptions, and is top 10 in the league in receiving yards with 1,174, and is third in the league with 11 receiving touchdowns.
