The defending NBA champion Oklahoma City Thunder didn’t just advance to the NBA Cup West Semifinals on Wednesday night, they made history. After rolling past the Phoenix Suns 138-89, OKC now has a total point differential this season at a remarkable 437 points.
This has set the new record for the largest differential through the first 25 games in a season.

The Thunder were led by the MVP, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who scored 28 points on 11-15 shooting. SGA also added eight assists. OKC has extended their winning streak to 16 games and improved to an NBA-best 24-1 on the season.
With the win, the Thunder advance to the NBA Cup West semifinals in Las Vegas, where they’ll face the winner of the Lakers–Spurs matchup. They are certainly the favorites to win the NBA Cup.
