WATCH: Jayson Tatum plays 1-on-1 only seven months after tearing Achilles

Jayson Tatum high fives his teammates during a stoppage of play.

When Jayson Tatum went down with a torn Achilles during Game 4 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the New York Knicks, all looked lost for the former NBA champion. Now, new video has hit social media that will have Boston Celtics fans smiling.

The video, which has made its rounds on X, shows Tatum playing a game of one-on-one only seven months after the injury.

As of now, it’s unclear if Tatum will attempt to come back this season or wait until next year. Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla recently said, “It’s all up to him.” If Tatum continues to improve as quickly as he has, we very well may see him back on an NBA floor before the season is over.
