The Indiana Pacers’ remarkable postseason run continued in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. Indiana made an incredible comeback capped off by a Tyrese Haliburton game-winner.

Despite blowing the game, OKC isn’t too worried. For one, they still have the MVP, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Their head coach, Mark Daigneault, also understands why the Pacers won Game 1.

“Credit them, for not only tonight but their [postseason] run, they’ve had so many games like that,” Daigneault said. “That have seemed improbable and they just play with a great spirit and keep coming, they keep playing.

“They made plays, they made shots so they deserved to win by a point. We got to learn from it, there’s obviously a lot of things we can clean up, but credit them. They went and got that game.”

The Thunder now have to forget about their collapse and focus on all the positives of Game 1. For most of the game, OKC was in control.

They will now have to figure out how to finish games. More importantly, how to stop Indiana from making a comeback.

This will be coach Mark Daigneault’s job and he’ll have his team ready for Game 2.
