The Oklahoma City Thunder took down the San Antonio Spurs 122-113 on Wednesday, tying the Western Conference Finals 1-1.

In the opening frame, the Spurs had a narrow lead before OKC’s bench proved to be crucial. After 12 competitive minutes, it was tied at 31.

The next three quarters were controlled by OKC as Victor Wembanyama struggled to put up points early. The Thunder had the huge advantage in points off turnovers, but the Spurs made sure it didn’t become a true blowout.

By halftime, OKC led by 11.

The third frame was a roller coaster as the Spurs hit the ground running as they completely dissolved OKC’s lead. Midway through the quarter, San Antonio had tied it up at 66.

Almost immediately, OKC gained come momentum and regained control of the matchup. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander shot 4-of-5 in the quarter as he helped the Thunder go back up by eight.

They were able to stay ahead for most of the fourth quarter, but Wembanyama and the Spurs were able to cut it to five with one minute to go.

That’s when SGA sank a patented mid-range pull-up before Alex Caruso added to the total with a game-sealing layup.

Gilgeous-Alexander led the way for OKC with 30 points and nine assists on 12-of-24 shooting.

For the Spurs, Stephon Castle had 25 points and eight assists while Wembanyama put up 21 points, 17 rebounds and four blocks.
