Steelers owner Art Rooney said weeks ago that the team hoped to hear a decision from Aaron Rodgers by the NFL draft, but that deadline is getting closer with no word from Rodgers.
The team must now decide whether or not to take a quarterback in the draft. While that could send Rodgers the wrong message, there’s no guarantee that Rodgers returns anyways.
As of Monday, Pittsburgh’s QB room only consists of Howard and Mason Rudolph.
An experienced veteran like Rodgers fits what they need, but the draft is now just days away with no additional clarity regarding Rodgers’ status.
