Sports world erupts at referees after Thunder take down Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers suffered a crucial Game 2 loss the the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday, going down 2-0 in the series. It was a gritty and physical battle, but the whistle seemed to be a bit one-sided.

It’s well-documented that OKC often gets an advantage when it comes to foul calls, but the sports world was in unison Thursday night as it seemed the Thunder were getting every whistle while the Lakers were getting hacked without calls.

Fans are almost always talking about this online, but Thursday saw a few celebrities and even Foot Locker chime in.

Ultimately, the Lakers likely would have lost to the overpowered Thunder, even if the referees had been better. But the sports world seemed to come together in agreement on Thursday, in shock about what it had just witnessed.

Regardless, with Luka Doncic still on the sideline, it will be very difficult for the Lakers to pull off an 0-2 comeback.
