Shohei Ohtani spins together another scoreless outing

Los Angeles Dodgers’ star Shohei Ohtani recorded his third scoreless outing in his last six games on the mound.

Ohtani went six innings against the Diamondbacks, conceding just two hits and a walk while chalking up 6 strikeouts in the Dodgers 7-0 win Wednesday night.

After his 10th start of the season, Ohtani has now lowered his ERA to 0.74 through his 61 innings pitched.

And of course, in Shohei fashion, he also managed reach base safely five times. Going 3 for 4 at the plate with a pair of walks during the Dodgers matchup with the Diamond backs on Wednesday night.

After starting the season off struggling at the plate, Ohtani has really found his groove. In his last 30 games, Ohtani has posted a .336/.447/.552 slash line.

Ohtani topped the early NL MVP poll according to MLB.com, if he does end up securing the MVP this season, it’ll be his fourth-straight MVP and his third consecutive in the National League.

According to a report by Sonja Chen of MLB.com, Ohtani will not play in the final game of the Dodgers four game series with the Diamondbacks due to his time on the mound on Wednesday.
