Seahawks sign Derick Hall to three-year, $42 million extension

The Seattle Seahawks have agreed to sign edge rusher Derick Hall to a three-year, $42 million contract extension, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The deal includes $21 million guaranteed and could be worth over $46 million with contract incentives.

Hall was drafted by the Seahawks in the second round of the 2023 draft and has become a reliable defensive player. Across 48 career games so far, he’s recorded 10.0 sacks, 105 tackles and 38 QB hits.

He was crucial for the Seahawks in their Super Bowl victory over the New England Patriots in February. In that battle, he recorded two sacks and a forced fumble.

Next season, Hall will likely remain as the backup behind Uchenna Nwosu, who’s set to become a free agent in 2027. If the Seahawks can’t retain Nwosu, Hall could be due for a larger role.

Seattle now appears to have a solid future at his position with the 25-year-old under contract through 2029.
