When Russell Westbrook became a free agent during the offseason most wondered if his time in the NBA had come to an end. This was because no team showed interest in the former MVP.

Luckily for Westbrook, the Sacramento Kings signed the all-time leader in triple-doubles on a one-year deal worth $3.6 million.
Westbrook had been a sixth man, until Friday. He replaced Dennis Schroder in the starting lineup for the Kings’ game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Unfortunately for Westbrook, his move to the starting lineup wouldn’t result in a win. The Kings fell 124-110. Westbrook did play well, recording a 13-point, 10-rebound and 14-assist triple-double.
