Murray State shot 51% from the field, made 14 of 32 3-pointers and outrebounded the Demons 36-27. The Demons committed 18 turnovers to Murray State's 13.
The Racers improved to 2-0. The Demons fell to 0-3.
The Racers are first in the MVC and have won two straight. Murray State is 1-0 at home and 1-0 away from home. The Demons sit first in the Southland and have lost three straight.
The Racers next host the Alcorn State Braves on Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 8:00 p.m. ET. The Demons are back in action when they host the Millsaps Majors on Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 7:30 p.m. ET.
