The Detroit Pistons played elite defense against the Orlando Magic on Wednesday to win Game 2 98-83 and tie the series 1-1.

The first half was an ugly, gritty display of defense from both sides. While the Pistons maintained a lead, they struggled to get going on offense and truly take control. After two quarters, it was tied at 46.
The third quarter was ugly for a much different reason. As the Pistons locked in for their best defense so far, they also caught fire on the offensive end.
Detroit shot an impressive 14-of-23 from the floor while holding the Magic to just 16 points in the third quarter. After going up by as much as 27, the Pistons stayed disciplined on both ends throughout the final quarter to secure the victory.
Cade Cunningham led the way for Detroit with 27 points, six rebounds and 11 assists while shooting 11-of-19 from the floor.
The Magic shot just 33% from the floor on Wednesday as Jalen Suggs had 19 points and six rebounds. Paolo Banchero put up 18 points, six rebounds and eight assists.
The series now heads to Orlando tied at 1-1.
