The Detroit Pistons looked to earn an easy win against the Nikola Jokic-less Denver Nuggets. Detroit jumped out all over Denver early, building an 18-point lead by the second quarter.
The Pistons saw dominant performances from Cade Cunningham (22 points, 11 assists), and Tobias Harris (22 points, eight rebounds). Still, the Nuggets weren’t going to fold.

Denver made a furious comeback attempt, getting within one point of the Pistons with 3.5 seconds remaining in the game. Ultimately, Detroit held on to win 109-107.
The Nuggets were led by Jamal Murray’s 24 points and 10 assists. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough.
Denver may have lost the game, but they won the war, as they continue to prove how deep their team is, even without Jokic.
