Kevin Durant has been traded by the Phoenix Suns to the Houston Rockets. In return, the Suns are adding Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, the No. 10 overall pick in this year’s NBA Draft, as well as five second-round picks.
When Durant joined the Suns, and especially after adding Bradley Beal, Phoenix was supposed to be a title contender. That couldn’t have been further from the truth.

When Durant played, the Suns went 85-60 in his three years. The problem was that Durant only averaged about 48 games per season. This was largely due to only playing eight games in his first season in Phoenix, as he was coming off his Achilles tendon injury.

I don’t believe in this new team. Not because of the lineup, but because of the history of KD. They were building something with the previous unit. The proof is right there in the pudding. KD has shown in recent years he isn’t that guy to get you a ring anymore.

Durant continues to play solid basketball, as he does not appear to be slowing down. He averaged 26.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game, while shooting 52.7% from the field in this past season.
Despite his play, his team struggled to stack wins. Will Durant be the difference maker in Houston?
Or will the Rockets fizzle out during the regular season as the Suns did?
