Following a heated altercation between the Detroit Pistons and the Minnesota Timberwolves during their matchup on Sunday, the NBA has officially suspended five players that were involved in the scuffle.
Detroit’s Isaiah Stewart received a two-game suspension without pay, and Detroit’s Ron Holland II and Marcus Sasser and Minnesota’s Donte DiVincenzo and Naz Reid were each suspended one game without pay.

Stewart was the only player to receive more than a one-game suspension due to “his repeated history of unsportsmanlike acts,” according to a statement released by the league.

No punishment of further action was announced regarding Pistons head coach J.B. Bickerstaff and T-Wolves assistant coach Pablo Prigioni, who were also ejected from the game after their own heated conflict.
Stewart has a history of hostile behavior on the court, but if they continue to have success, the Pistons might just embrace it.
