NBA legend Charles Barkley is rarely one to mince words. We’ve been reminded of that by his recent comments about the Milwaukee Bucks and their star player, Giannis Antetokounmpo.
During his recent appearance on “The Bill Simmons Podcast”, Barkley voiced his thoughts on the Greek Freak.

“Giannis has to get better as a basketball player. Just going downhill 1-on-5 isn’t going to work. It doesn’t work and he’s a terrific player and a terrific kid, but he has to get better as a basketball player. I’m not a Milwaukee guy,” Barkley said.
While Antetokounmpo’s play style was the driving factor behind the Bucks’ 2021 championship run, he still faces criticisms about it. Barkley’s comments are not the first of this nature, NBA star James Harden made similar comments in recent years and the NBA community has been discussing the topic ever since.

Relying on agility and strength may not be the most ideal play style in terms of injury prevention, but Antetokounmpo has already proven that it can be effective in the pursuit of a championship.
