Miami star wide receiver Malachi Toney will have surgery to address a high ankle sprain, sources told ESPN.
The procedure will keep Toney out of Saturday's game against Notre Dame, according to the report.
His absence will also extend beyond that matchup, sources said, though the report did not specify how long he will be sidelined. Miami will be without one of its top players for at least the Notre Dame game and an undetermined stretch after it.
