Boise State senior quarterback Maddux Madsen will not play Saturday at Colorado State due to a minor left knee injury, ESPN reported.
Madsen left the game against the Bobcats in the fourth quarter after taking a hard hit near his left knee. He watched the remainder of that contest on crutches from the sideline and is officially listed as questionable for the Colorado State matchup.

Junior quarterback Max Cutforth will start Saturday — his fourth career appearance under center for the Broncos. Cutforth entered the Texas State game in relief and led a comeback victory, throwing three touchdown passes after trailing by 25 points at halftime.
Cutforth started once against Colorado State last season, passing for 239 yards in a 49–21 Boise State win.
The No. 25 Broncos are 7–1 overall and 4–0 in Pac-12 play. They are the only ranked Group of Six team in the College Football Playoff selection committee’s first release, issued Tuesday.
Boise State expects Madsen to start next week against Oregon State.
